	Evaluating the Implementation of Hospital-based Domestic Violence Programs by Jeffrey H. Coben, MD and Elizabeth J. Fisher, PhD Since 1991, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) has supported the development and implementation of health care-based Domestic Violence programs within Pennsylvania. In this article, the authors report their experience in conducting a statewide evaluation of the PCADV program using previously developed performance measures. This article discusses the challenges to recruitment, strategies to overcome them, and remaining barriers. Full article Brief Reports Targeted IPV Education: Sustained Change in Rural and Mid-sized Medical Settings by Barbara A. Elliott, PhD, Irina V. Haller, PhD and Jennifer M. Peterson, MSW This report describes a project with physicians and other providers who practice in rural and mid-sized communities. Results of a baseline survey that assessed knowledge and clinical behaviors were used to design a targeted educational intervention for intimate partner violence (IPV). Follow-up with the same population documented sustained changes in self-reported screening, assessment, and management practices for IPV at 20 months. Block, MD This report reviews a model curriculum for medical students in the field of family violence, constructed to expose students to core issues in the field, to community agencies dealing with prevention, intervention and prosecution, and clinical issues that might serve as resources for health professionals caring for patients who are dealing with violence.
